Director & Teacher
Mrs. Alexandra Halikas Aram
The children light up when Mrs. Aram enters the room, sensing her warm and enthusiastic presence. It brings her great joy to be the director of Shining Cross Academy, where she works to cultivate a lifelong love of learning in all children, while sharing lessons about God and His creation. Our director has more than 20 years of experience teaching all grades, from kindergarten through high school. She earned her B.A. in International Relations from the University of San Diego. She also earned her Child Development Master Teacher Certificate from the Mira Costa College. Mrs. Aram is a current member of The National Association for Education of Young Children and participates in local and regional workshops. She is fluent in both Greek and Spanish. For over thirty years she has been an active member of Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Christian Church, serving in many youth ministries, including Moms & Tots and Sunday School. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren, taking trips to the monastery, gardening and exercising.
